Eight Organisations in Breach of the Singaporean Personal Data Protection Act
The Singaporean Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) announced on August 03, 2020 that eight organisations were found in breach of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). The press release is available here.
Financial penalties amounting to 47,000 SGD were issued to three of them, while the other five have received warnings.
The PDPC has found that these organisations failed to put in place reasonable security measures to prevent the unauthorised disclosure or access to the personal data of individuals.
